Wheat export sales recovered from last week's low numbers, 443,697 tonnes this time. The trade estimate was 150,000 - 400,000.
USDA’s 825 million bushel new crop export goal, for the year that started June 1, is -2% from the five year average sale. Year to date sales are even with the average. To meet USDA's goal remaining sales can run -1% vs. the average through next May. This week was positive at +14%. The prior 14 weeks were -17%. While we suggest US sales should eventually exceed USDA's goal, they are behind.
