Wheat export sales cool for three weeks.

309,319 tonnes were sold in this week. The trade estimate was 300,000 - 625,000.

USDA’s 825 million bushel new crop export goal, for the year that started June 1, is -2% from the five year average sale. Year to date sales are +6% vs. average. To meet USDA's goal remaining sales can fall to -3% vs. average through next May. Today's sale was -36% vs. average. Wheat sales started the year off with a bang. USDA did recognize that on 7/12 with a 25 million bushel increase in their whole-year goal. But now, with -3%, the prior week's -2% and the week before that at -25% the strong narrative has eased.
