Beef sales remain lightly ahead of the target. Pork still needs work.

Weekly beef export sales came to 8,348 tonnes last week. This was -16% vs. last year. Year to date sales are -5% vs. last year. Sales are just over USDA's current goal of -7%.

Pork exports were okay this week at +8% vs. the prior year. But the 26,543 tonne sale was not a repeat of the prior week. That prior week was the best since 2021.

Pork sales are still a little weak in the big picture though. Year to date sales are +3% vs. last year. USDA's newly raised whole-year goal is +8%.
